| Joan has sent me copies of some new photos that she had got from her cousin Esther, amongst them are photos of Harriet, her daughter Jemima, her son Francis , her son Christopher and wife. There lies a bit of a mystery as I have a photo which is supposed to be Christopher and his wife Alice around 1896 when they married, the two photos look entirely different, was not not sure if the Christopher and wife is Alice or Eleanor, Christopher's second wife .Whom he married after the death of Alice in 1906. I asked for some expert help from Roger Vaughan in dating the photos and with his help and by comparing the photo of 'Young Eleanor' we now know that Christopher and wife is Christopher and Alice and the photo we thought was Christopher and Alice is actually Christopher and Eleanor. The photos are now properly titled | |
